MS-CEH Scholarships

The Master of Science in Climate, Environment and Health (MS-CEH) program offers a limited number of scholarships. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early in the admissions cycle as possible. Applicants will be notified of scholarship awards at the time of admission. Documents included with the application will be used for scholarship evaluation.

One Health & Climate Scholarship

This scholarship supports MS-CEH students who embrace the One Health approach recognizing that human health, animal health, and the environment are interconnected and deeply affected by climate change. Awardees will have demonstrated a commitment to interdisciplinary thinking and collaborative problem-solving that bridges animal health, human health, and ecosystem integrity to address climate-related health challenges. This scholarship nurtures leaders prepared to advance preventive, equitable solutions where climate impacts intersect with complex biological and social systems.

Steward of our Common Home Scholarship

Rooted in the principle that a healthy planet is fundamental to human well-being, this scholarship recognizes students who show exceptional promise in protecting ecosystems and human communities from climate harms. It is awarded to individuals whose work reflects an integrated vision of environmental and health stewardship—combining scientific understanding, ethical commitment, and practical application to advance planetary health. Recipients will deepen the MS-CEH community’s capacity to steward resilient, just, and thriving systems for present and future generations.

Equity in Action Scholarship

This scholarship honors MS-CEH students who place equity at the center of their climate and health work. It supports those who have actively advanced equitable solutions—whether through community-engaged research, policy advocacy, or practice—that reduce disparities in climate-linked health outcomes. Awardees demonstrate a record of service, leadership, and outcomes that prioritize the needs of underserved communities disproportionately impacted by environmental change.

Cura Planeta Scholarship

Inspired by the Jesuit value of cura personalis, care for the whole person, this scholarship recognizes students who extend that care to the planet and the people who depend on it. Recipients have shown thoughtful commitment to holistic approaches that promote environmental sustainability and human health through respectful, compassionate engagement with people and ecosystems. This award reflects the MS-CEH program’s emphasis on ethical leadership and the dignity of all life in an era of global climate change.

Climate & Health Futures Scholarship

This scholarship supports MS-CEH students with bold visions for shaping healthier, climate-resilient futures. Awardees demonstrate innovative thinking, strategic foresight, and the capacity to translate climate and health knowledge into actionable solutions across sectors. Whether through research, policy, practice, or community transformation, students receiving this scholarship are positioned to lead efforts that anticipate and address emerging climate threats while promoting human and environmental well-being.

Federal Employee Scholarship

In support of Georgetown University’s decision to offer professional development opportunities to current and former federal civil employees and federal contractors, we will offer a 10% merit-based scholarship on the base tuition to current or recently separated federal civil government employees for fall 2026 intake.
